Backbone East Africa
Backbone East Africa is the first strategic step taken by Backbone Group in establishing its presence internationally. The multiple business operations in Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda focus on high-quality feed production and the building of an integrated value chain that spans soybean and maize cultivation, soya oil refining, breeder farming and hatchery, fish farming, and meat processing.
Founded in 1995 in China, Backbone Group is a multinational corporation specialized in feed production, raw material trading, and fermentation biotechnology. Leveraging over three decades of industry experience and a network of over 30 subsidiaries across China and Africa, the Group has consistently ranked among the world's top 50 feed producers.
